Bread in Keto Diet

How much bread you eat determines whether it's good or not while on a keto diet. The Keto diet limits the carbohydrate intake because of which the brain doesn’t get the needed supply of glucose resulting in fat being oxidized better. It then becomes necessary to eat less than 120-130 grams of carbs in a day for a keto diet to work. A piece of bread might be 20 grams of carbohydrates, so sure, you could have some bread. But not a lot.

If you are on a low-carb or keto diet, you might have 50-100 grams of carbs to play with, and you can choose where you want to get that from. And if it’s bread then absolutely, enjoy it! Of course, if you have some kind of gut-related issue and you can’t tolerate gluten, don’t eat it. But otherwise, it’s alright as long as it doesn't offer more than 130 grams of carbohydrates.
