All types of yogurt, whether homemade or purchased from a store (fruit flavoured), contain sugar.
You must have noticed that all different types of yogurts list sugars on their labels. This is because even though yogurt doesn’t contain added sugar, it has natural sugars.
Lactose is a natural sugar that is present in milk. Pick any product, including yogurt, that uses milk as a primary ingredient and it will have lactose. Natural sugar isn’t bad for you but, added sugars can affect your health in many ways.
You can opt for healthier alternatives like; chopped fresh fruits in fresh homemade curd without adding any sugar. Sprinkling it with a generous amount of cinnamon will give you a sweet flavour like processed yogurt.
Types of yogurt are whole-milk yogurt, traditional yogurt, greek yogurt and flavoured yogurt.
