Foods not to eat if you have cholesterol

  • Fried foods: Deep-fried foods, such as chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings, are among the highest in cholesterol. Foods that are fried have a higher energy density or calorie count. Use an air fryer and throw your food in a little olive oil if you like the crispness of fried food. Alternatively, bake things like potato wedges and chicken till golden brown at a high temperature.
  • Baked goods: Cookies, cakes, and pastries are frequently produced with considerable amounts of butter and shortening, which raises cholesterol levels. You don't have to give up dessert completely. Simply make a few changes. Use applesauce or bananas instead of butter for baking. For dessert, try low-fat frozen yogurt with berries on top.
