Saturated fat, is a dietary fat that is one of the unhealthy fats and is solid at room temperature. The lesser the amount on food labels the better.

Saturated fats contain only single bonds between carbon molecules and are saturated with hydrogen molecules. Unsaturated fats, on the other hand, have at least one double bond between carbon molecules. 
Saturated fats are solid at normal temperatures due to hydrogen molecule saturation, but unsaturated fats, such as olive oil, are liquid at ambient temperature.
