What to eat after intermittent fasting?

When breaking the fast, a meal with a lower glycemic index is considered better in order to prevent the spiking of blood sugar levels which might contribute to brain fog and digestive discomforts. Foods that can be taken right after the fast are smoothies, soups, broths, cooked vegetables, and fruit which are more easily digestible.

After breaking your fast with relatively light foods, it is then okay to move to other types of foods that are a bit tougher to digest which include complex carbohydrates and protein sources, and raw vegetables.
