To start preparing spicy whole wheat chakli, take the whole wheat flour and steam it in an idli pan by tying it in a muslin cloth. steam it for about 8-10 minutes until it cooks thoroughly.

Once cooked, switch off the pan, open the cloth, and transfer the steamed wheat flour to a plate.

Break the big cake-like pieces of flour with your hands.

Now, sieve the cooked flour to ensure a smooth texture and add red chili powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, butter, and salt. mix all the ingredients well.

Once everything is mixed properly, add water gradually and knead the dough until you achieve a non-sticky consistency.
