In a separate bowl, beat the egg until well combined. add the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and jaggery (or brown sugar). mix until the sugar and jaggery are well incorporated.

Gradually add the dry ingredients (wheat flour and baking powder mixture) to the wet ingredients. mix well.

Stir in the milk and continue mixing until you get a smooth cake batter. add a pinch of salt for flavor balance.
