How To Cook?

To begin making spicy onion thepla, heat a kadai with oil. add cumin seeds and allow them to crackle for a few seconds.

Add grated ginger and minced garlic. saute until they turn soft. then, add chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.

Once the onions are cooked, add chopped green chilies, garam masala powder, dry mango powder (amchur), turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and salt to taste. mix well and cook for another few minutes until the spices are well combined and cooked. turn off the heat and allow it to cool.

Add the saute onion mixture into a bowl containing wheat flour and a tablespoon of oil.

Gradually add water little by little and knead to form a firm dough that is not sticky.
