Wash the brown rice thoroughly and soak it in water for about 2 hours. drain the water and set aside.

Grind the soaked rice to a coarse paste using a little milk to facilitate the grinding process.

In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the remaining milk (400 ml) and bring it to a boil.

Add the ground rice paste to the boiling milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

Cook the mixture on medium-low heat, stirring continuously, until it thickens and the rice is cooked through. this might take around 20-25 minutes.
