In a bowl, whisk the curd until smooth and add chickpea flour. mix well to create a lump-free mixture.

Heat sunflower oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. let them splutter.

Add asafoetida and curry leaves to the tempering. stir for a few seconds until fragrant.

Lower the heat and add turmeric powder and red chilli powder to the tempering. mix quickly to prevent burning.
