How To Cook?

1

To begin making the creamy lilva beans kheer, wash the lilva beans and pressure cook them with enough water for just one whistle. allow the pressure to release naturally.

2

Once the pressure is released, drain the beans from the water and keep them aside. ensure that the lilva beans are not cooked to a mushy consistency.

3

If desired, you can de-skin the lilva beans to achieve a smoother texture in the kheer.

4

In a mixer-jar, add grated coconut, poppy seeds, and cardamom pods. add a very little amount of water and grind into a thick paste. set this paste aside.

5

Place a heavy-bottomed pan on low flame and add jaggery with a little water to dissolve it.
