How To Cook?

Rinse the urad dal a couple of times in fresh water. then soak the lentils in 2 cups of water for 4 hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked lentils and grind or blend them to a smooth batter, adding 3 tablespoons of water as needed.

If the batter becomes watery, you can add some semolina, urad dal flour, or rice flour to thicken it.

Add cumin seeds, black pepper, curry leaves, onions, green chillies, ginger, asafoetida, grated coconut, coriander leaves, and salt to the batter. mix well.

Take a bowl of water and wet your palms with the water. take a portion of the batter in your right hand and shape it into a round medu vada by moving it around.
