How To Cook?

1

To create nutty black rice delight, start by cooking the black rice. if you are using an electric rice cooker, there's no need to soak the rice. however, if you are using a pressure cooker, soak the black rice for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours before cooking.

2

Cook the soaked rice with the required amount of water until the cooker releases at least 6 whistles. black rice requires some extra time to cook.

3

While the rice is cooking, prepare the tempering.

4

In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the sunflower oil over medium heat.

5

Once the oil is hot, add asafoetida (hing), dried red chilies, split urad dal, dried neem leaves, and curry leaves all at once.
