In a mixing bowl or pan, combine whole wheat flour, gram flour, carom seeds, finely chopped onion, chopped green chilies, a pinch of asafoetida, and oil. mix well.

Add 1/2 cup of water and begin to mix and knead the dough.

Gradually add more water as needed and knead until you have a smooth and soft dough. overall, you may need around 3/4 cup of water, but adjust the amount according to the flour's quality.

Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes, then divide it into medium-sized balls.

Take a dough ball and dust it with dry wheat flour. roll it into a circle of about 5 to 6 inches, sprinkling more flour if needed to prevent sticking.
