To prepare the spiced rava vada fritters, take a large mixing bowl and combine semolina (sooji) with thick curd (yogurt), finely chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves, and fresh coriander leaves. mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

Using a mortar and pestle, roughly pound the black peppercorns.

Add the cumin seeds, roughly pounded black peppercorns, and salt to taste into the mixing bowl with the semolina mixture. mix well and let it rest for 15 minutes.

In a wok or deep frying pan, heat cooking oil over medium-high heat.

Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking, take a small ball-sized portion of the batter, flatten it slightly, and create a hole in the center using your finger to shape it like a vada.
