How To Cook?

Dry roast 1 cup of oats on low flame until they turn crisp. let them cool down for a while.

In the same pan, dry roast 1/2 cup of semolina (upma rava) on low flame for about 5 minutes. set it aside.

Grind the roasted oats coarsely in a mixer or food processor.

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground oats and roasted semolina. add 3/4 teaspoon of salt or adjust according to taste.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds. mix well.
