Gather all your ingredients. peel the skin of the cucumber and carrot, then finely chop all the vegetables.

In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth. add salt, roasted cumin powder (dry roast cumin seeds for 2 minutes, then grind into a powder), and black pepper powder. mix well.

Add the chopped vegetables and fresh mint leaves to the yogurt mixture. give it a quick mix.

Chill the raita in the refrigerator until serving time.
