To prepare goan radish coconut curry, start by peeling the radishes and cutting them into 1-1/2 inch long pieces.

In a pressure cooker, add the pigeon pea (toor dal), radish, chopped onion, and 1 cup of water. mix well and close the cooker.

Pressure cook until you hear 4 whistles and turn off the heat.

While the radish and dal are cooking, prepare the coconut gravy. in a grinder jar, combine grated fresh coconut, green chilli, dry red chilli, coriander seeds, tamarind paste, and turmeric powder. add 1/2 cup of water and grind to make a smooth gravy.

Open the pressure cooker and pour the coconut gravy into it.
