To prepare the spicy yam and peanut mash, start by washing and peeling the yam. cut it into 1-inch cubes.

Place the yam cubes in a pressure cooker. add tamarind pulp, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, and salt to taste.

Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for about 4 whistles.

Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.

Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and mash the yam using a masher. leave some yam chunks for a textured mash.
