Heat ghee in a kadai, add mustard seeds, split urad dal, chana dal, and cashew nuts.

Allow the mustard seeds to crackle and roast the dal and cashew nuts until they turn golden brown. maintain the heat on low to medium to avoid overcooking.

Once the dal and cashew nuts are roasted, add curry leaves, slit green chillies, and turmeric powder. stir for a few seconds.
