How To Cook?

1

Wash the taro roots (arbi) thoroughly to remove any dirt. rub them with your hands to remove any loose hairs.

2

Oil your palms before peeling and slicing the taro roots to prevent skin irritation caused by the natural juices of the roots.

3

In a pressure cooker, heat the vegetable oil and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. fry them on medium heat for about 2 minutes or until the cumin seeds are fragrant.

4

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder to the cooker. fry the spices for a few seconds to release their flavors.

5

Add the chopped taro root pieces, salt, and 2.5 cups of water to the cooker. mix the roots with the spices and water.
