How To Cook?

1

To begin making the spiced chickpea stir fry, soak the chickpeas in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.

2

After soaking, pressure cook the chickpeas with water until they are fully cooked, which will take about 25 minutes.

3

Once the chickpeas are cooked, allow the pressure to release on its own and then drain the water. set the cooked chickpeas aside.

4

In a small pan, roast the ingredients for the spice powder, including red chillies, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, and turmeric powder, until you get a good roasted aroma from the coriander seeds.

5

Turn off the heat, let it cool, and then grind the roasted spices into a fine powder. this is your spiced powder (bafat powder).
